Usermade 3D Vision Friendly Patch for the Game Arcania – Gothic 4

November 24th, 2010 · 2 Comments · Stereo 3D Games

The RPG game Arcania – Gothic 4 was released not long ago and the stereoscopic 3D gaming community had high hopes for it to perform and look good in stereo 3D mode, however the game did not do great in fulfilling these hopes. But thanks to the reader Helifax and the large game community, there is now an unofficial user-made patch that fixes some of the issues the game has in stereo 3D mode with 3D Vision, so that you can get better experience should you decide to play the game in S3D. The patch fixes some of the lightning effects, the lights on hero and the environment, shadows in caves or buildings, weapon effects, torch effects etc., however there are still some things that need to be fixed and some things that are being rendered in 2D too. So if you own the game and want to try the user-made patch, you are welcome to do so as well as reporting some issues with it and maybe even helping further improve it.

Additional details and download link for the patch is available here in the forum…
