StarCraft II Patch 1.1.0 Now Live with 3D Vision Support for the Game

September 21st, 2010 · 3 Comments · Stereo 3D Games

Another interesting update today is the official release of the StarCraft II Patch 1.1.0 that was supposed to make the game perform great in stereoscopic 3D mode by using Nvidia’s 3D Vision technology. Well the patch is now already available in USA with the European release expected in a few hours, unfortunately because of that fact I’m still not able to try it, so everyone from the States is welcome to report on the improvements in the stereo 3D support in the new patch. Of course aside from the official 3D Vision support the 1.1.0 patch for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty brings a lot of other improvements and fixes, along with balance improvements of course.

StarCraft II Patch 1.1 to Bring 3D Vision Support in Mid-September

August 30th, 2010 · 7 Comments · Stereo 3D Games

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is celebrating its one-month anniversary and Blizzard has announced that the first feature and balance patch for the game should be completed and available by the middle of September. Patch 1.1 will contain a number of improvements including additional mod features, Editor improvements and bug fixes, some custom game improvements, support for NVIDIA’s 3D Vision, and more… And I’m pretty sure that most of you are expecting especially the 3D Vision support part, although StarCraft II already looks quite well in stereo 3D mode with the latest beta 3D Vision drivers. However the official patch 1.1 should fix all of the remaining small things like 2D crosshair along with other HUD elements rendered in 2D and maybe some other glitches that the game has when rendered in stereo 3D mode. So maybe in two weeks time StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will become an official 3D Vision Ready game title.

The Game Trine Patched to Add Official 3D Vision Support

August 7th, 2010 · 5 Comments · Stereo 3D Games

Until a few days ago the game Trine was rated as Not Recommended to be played in stereo 3D mode with 3D Vision according to the Nvidia game profiling system and it actually still is reported as such, however the developers of the game have already fixed the issues it had in S3D mode. With the latest patch for the game version 1.08 it is now working very well in stereo 3D mode when being played with 3D Vision and the previous issues are go, so the game can as well be considered almost as a 3D Vision Ready title after applying this patch.

Trine is a physics-based action game where three characters allow clever solutions to challenges created by hazardous puzzles and threatening enemies. The gameplay is based on fully interactive physics – each character’s different abilities and tactics can be used to invent new ways to overcome obstacles and save the kingdom!

Currently you can get a sweet deal for Trine by ordering the full game for just $9.44 USD
