Good day to all of you,

I am really glad to be a part of this community and I hope everybody is doing fine.

I currently have an Acer H5360. And looking into acquiring a 3d vision kit, however I need some enlightment from experts here before I make the purchase.

1. I am into watching movies and would like it to be in 3d, does this nvidia 3d kit gives the outward depth? like things going out of the screen? a friend of mine gave me a number of movies ( sharkboy, corakine, etc), will they work?

3. My pc currently runs on 8600GT and it says in the nvidia site that all 8-series will work on 3d movies. should I make the GPU upgrade to 8800 or higher as advised?

4. and last, I am currently running on XP still, is it a requirement for me to upgrade to win 7? ( I prefer over vista)

Your insights and help will be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

As far as i know, its not possible to use 3D vision software on Windows XP.
About the grapich card, the better grapich card you get, the better 3D will you experience in games, but im not sure if that counts for movies also.

1. The depth / pop-out effects are dependent on the content in the videos, so if you have a movie with things popping out of the screen you will be able to see them with the 3D Vision glasses.

2. No need to upgrade it if you don't want to play games in stereo 3D mode, but prefer to stick to the 3D videos.

3. For 3D Vision you need Vista or Windows 7.
