Post subject:  2d to 3d stereoscopic conversion

Hello to all,

Im working as a rotoscope artist.
We have clients requiring us to work for 2d to 3d stereoscopic, would like to know how the process in converting
and what do we need in doing this kind of work. Im using mocha, silhouette roto, after effects softwares.

If you haven't worked in converting 2D to 3D so far, then I suggest not to start with a client wanting to have a conversion done by you... you better start with a few tests trying to convert some short scenes first to see how will you do.

2d-3d conversion use a bunch of tools with very complicated algorithmes.
some use luminance map, some use recreating basic 3d shape, trincking and mapping, some use movement detection.

it is almost impossible to do it manually.
You can find cheap program that convert 2D-3d (even some BD player or TV set do this ) so you better go with these tools.

2d to 3d conversion is not easy process, its time taking process. we are using our proprietary software.
