Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away 3D Movie Coming Later This Year

July 9th, 2012 · 4 Comments · 3D Movies & Videos

Cirque du Soleil is not new to 3D, back in 2000 there was one of their shows shot in 3D for screening in IMAX 3D movie theaters and that performance is also available on Blu-ray 3D – Cirque du Soleil: Journey of Man. However the upcoming 3D movie with called Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away 3D is something way more interesting, because of the names behind it. I’m talking about the fact that first it will be a movie, not just a recording of some performance by Cirque du Soleil, moreover it will be directed by Andrew Adamson (“Shrek,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe”) and produced by none other than James Cameron with Vince Pace overseeing the stereoscopic 3D production aspect of the film. This will not be the Avatar killer in terms of revenue and viewers interest, however the expectations are already set very high especially for the stereoscopic 3D experience and the trailer embedded above (though not in stereo 3D) also looks very promising. The movie is expected to premiere on December 21st, 2012.

The video is not available in the United States. That is strange.
