Nvidia has made available for download the first WHQL-certified unified driver from the R300 family of drivers, namely the version 301.42. The new WHQL driver builds on top of the already introduced new features in the previous 301.24 Beta release, bringing fixed bugs, improved functionality, 4-way GTX 670 SLI support etc as well as new 3DTV Play display support.

New 3DTV Play support for the following displays:

– Mitsubishi HC7800D Projector
– Samsung UE40ES6530 3DTV
– Samsung UE40ES6710 3DTV
– Samsung UE46ES8000 3DTV
– Samsung UN40ES6500F 3DTV
– Sharp LC-70C7450U 3DTV

New and Updated 3D Vision Profiles:

– Adam’s Venture Episode 1 – Rated Poor

– Blacklight: Retribution – Rated Poor
– Depth Hunter – Updated profile
– Dirt: Showdown – Rated Good
– Ghosts ‘n Goblins Online – Rated Good

The game rFactor 2 (still in development) should be 3D Vision ready when it is released.

Is it me or does this drivers impact the fps performance in games for gtx 480 sli? Gaming Diablo 3 and I get 40 to low 30s in 3D vision.. I had problems with the previous beta as well and had to uninstall.

@Miguel; I had the same impression with the beta edition of this driver. Bad performance breakdown in Lord Of The Rings online (with a GTX 580). Stuttering like hell. Reverted to a preceding driver version. But did not try the WHQL version yet.

Still no LG Cinema3D support with 3D vision? :(
For what are they waiting for?

Using EVGA PrecisionX frame rate target and Nvidia’s FXAA actually helped me achieve stable and smooth gameplay with these drivers. My question would be, Does setting a frame rate target of 60 fps impact 3D Vision in any negative way?

Are you guys making use of any of the new features like Adaptive Vsync?

Please please please include Heroes of Might and Magic 6 as a 3d supported title. This game is absolutely stunishing and uses greath depth in mountans and terrain. I would like to see this.

    Kind Regards GMnemonic

I play Diablo III in Full HD 3D with a 8800GTS 512 no problem. Always around 30fps but sometimes I go lower for a second but this is not stopping me from enjoying playing it in 3D.

Except some problem with shadows in some area and the text of items that are at the front, it’s fully enjoyable in 3D.

I don’t see Diablo III had its profile updated so I don’t think I will install this driver version.

    Diablo 3 shadow fix.

Had some weird performance and windows interface crashes with these. Keeping them under observation, but bare in mind that if you intend on watching 3d BDs with powerdvd you are still bound to pdvd10, since 11 doesn’t turn the actual 3d on. 296.10 seemed like a good release, I’ve had almost zero issues since release, and with these…..we’ll see.

3d works with powerdvd 12 and 296 driver

Can anyone else tell me if they are still able to fake 3dvision support with the EDID override? I built a new box and went directly to 301.42, and it doesn’t seem to work.
