The Game World of Zoo for Small Kids in Stereoscopic 3D

November 14th, 2009 · No Comments · Stereo 3D Games

It is good to have have nice FPS, RPG, Action and other games to be played back in stereoscopic 3D mode with 3D Vision for instance, but these are games for grownup kids or adults. And what you need to do if you want to have your younger children playing games that are suitable for them in Stereoscopic 3D? Well, you can go for the game World of Zoo – it is simple and easy to use life simulation video game where you play with animals in a zoo, as the name of the game suggests. You need to take care of the animals in the zoo in order to keep them happy by feeding them, playing with them etc. with access to 95 animals, separated into 11 families: antelopes, bears, big cats, crocodiles, elephants, giraffes, koalas, pandas, penguins, small monkeys, zebras and horses.

The game uses stylized and colorful drawing type of graphics to represent the animals and their surroundings so that small kids can really enjoy the game without being scarred by the lions for instance. And the game is quite fun actually and does work nice when played with 3D Vision without the need of any special settings, you’ll probably just need to adjust the depth level to a bit lower settings.

Not all of the game’s interface has been made in 3D, so some parts of the game might seem flat as they do not have any depth, but the most important parts – designing the animals and playing with them are in 3D. So now you can have your children enjoying a nice and safe game in stereoscopic 3D with the help of 3D Vision, without having to worry about them while they play.

And here comes another interesting question. Is the 3D Vision safe for longer use by smaller kids, I mean is the fast shutter Ok to be used for longer periods of time by them or it might lead to some issues. I could not find anything regarding a warning minimum age of use on the 3D Vision box or documentation, so it should be Ok, right? But anyway, be careful not to leave your younger kids for too long in front of the computer, playing games, with or without the 3D Vision glasses… ;)

You can get the game World of Zoo here if you don’t have it yet…
