Seems that Acer is Preparing a 24-inch 120Hz Full HD Gaming Monitor

November 1st, 2009 · 6 Comments · GeForce 3D Vision

There is some information on the net already that Acer will most likely be the first company to offer a 23,6″ LCD monitor that will offer Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution and of course being with a 120Hz panel. This means that most likely Acer will be the first company to release on the market a Full HD monitor that will be compatible with GeForce 3D Vision, and this monitor seems to be right about to hit the shelves. Furthermore this gaming display should not be a lot more expensive compared to the already available 22″ offers from Samsung and ViewSonic that are still the only ones with 120Hz panels on the market so far. Of course we’ll have to wait and see until this new display is available on the market, but I’m eagerly anticipating it already… ;)

I hope Acer will release this monitor with other color options, because this orange color is just plain ugly for most ppl.

But it is good to know there is someone besides asus that will be releasing 120hz full hd monitors.

The old models had orange and blue colors I think, but for the 120Hz the colors are still unknown… they might be available in the same, or with completely different. The image above is not of the actual 120Hz display, but of supposedly what it might look as it will probably be in the same series (top gaming models).

Great with some new 120hz monitors, the color is ugly tho. I could pay like 100$ more to get black, its sad that the color can change ppls mind of buying this one. So… I would like to see other colors cause this only meet a tiny grp of ppl.

120Hz are only done with TN panels so far, still you can say that the used panels are doing quite good and the color reproduction is improved a bit when waring the active shutter glasses… even the black is darker. We’ll have to wait quite a bit more for 120Hz MVA/PVA panels and not to mention IPS…
