You May Now, a Fun Short Video About Stereo 3D Movies

February 6th, 2011 · 11 Comments · General 3D News

This is not a stereo 3D video, but a video about stereo 3D. I has been created by Daniel Keeble, student of animation at the University of the West of England in Bristol and his friend Dane Winn. The short animated video is all about what you get as experience when watching 3D movie in a cinema, so you should take a look what happens when you put on these 3D glasses ;)

“A short animated piece about the wonders of stereoscopic 3D in cinemas.” This is from the youtube descriptopm. When I read “in cinemas” I think in movie theaters. What movie theaters have stereoscopic 3d movies? Last time I check the 3d in movie theaters is absolute garbage compared to Nvidia 3d vision.

Well I’ve just had mini-argument with some stupid idiot on the YouTube comments for this video.

Apparently Polarized 3D is not Stereoscopic 3D. LOL

I’d really appreciate it if someone else would put this guy straight as he is damaging 3D’s reputation!

Oh and btw, yes I’m talking about the guy who’s posted here under the name “nutty”

Different technology, the same result ;)

Thank you for calling me a stupid idiot. I think idiot would have worked fine. I admitted in every comment I made I could be wrong. Therefore I am not an idiot I was just expressing my opinion. I highly doubt I damaged 3d’s reputation. You should learn to be more mature and help people rather than insulting them from them beginning.

It would have been appreciated if you told me something like what Bloody said”Different technology, the same result ;)” Rather than ranting about how your Zalman monitor is superior. If they are a different technology with same/ similar result how is Polarized 3d superior to Nvidia 3d vision? I believe you are just a bored troll.

You were publicly posting that 3D movies are not true 3D and only nVidia 3D Vision is real 3D. Your right, I should have just said idiot, as stupid means the same thing :)
I told you polarized and shutterglasses achieved the same thing! (2 Seperate Images to each eye, which is what stereoscopic means)
You then told me my Zalman would be inferior as its not using nVidias 3D Vision glasses. So I posted back informing you that in some ways its even better than the 120Hz Monitors. (According to Bloddy’s testing results, my monitor is better when it comes to ghosting than all but the Planer and new Acer 27″ – Not Including DLP TV’s and Projectors of course)

Your the one who can be described as a troll, I have never been called that. You are the one who was wrong and despite being told this you wouldn’t accept it!

BTW you can see the whole conversation I had with “nutty” at http://www.blackholeofsouls.co.uk/Screenshots/Stereoscopic 3D Idiot.png

And I think that you both should stop arguing…

    @Bloody your the boss :)

You truly are an asshole. Please let me prove to you why you are an asshole. If you think otherwise than you are either an idiot or psychotic.

Throughout my public postings I wrote things like “I thought” “I am not familiar with”, “I don’t think you can”, “Then again´╗┐ I could be wrong.” All of those things mean that NOTHING I stated was intended to be a fact. You corrected me and I appreciate it. However you did not need to be such a stuck up prick about it.

In regards to my original posting on youtube “”A short animated piece about the wonders of stereoscopic 3D in cinemas.” When I read “in cinemas” I think in movie theaters. What movie theaters´╗┐ have stereoscopic 3d movies?” What I actually should have said was is that are there any movie theaters that produce the same high quality 3d effect that Nvidia 3d Vision computers can supply?

If someone normal and respectable cares to answer please go ahead.

Apologies for thew arguing I just hate when people are assholes for know reason.
