3DBDNet Software For Converting Blu-ray 3D SSIF Video Files

July 28th, 2010 · 4 Comments · Other S3D Tech

If you remember back in May there was a method discovered on how you can convert Blu-ray 3D movies into another video format that could easily be played over the 3D Vision Video Player for example, not requiring you to use a specific Blu-ray 3D player software and back then there were still no such players available anyway. Now, thanks to another user called mforbes6186 from the same place – Biohemmet.se comes a software tool that allows the automated conversion of Blu-ray 3D SSIF files to MKV/AVI video. Just have in mind that this software is not intended to be used for illegal purposes!

3DBD can convert SSIF files on a Blu Ray disc to individual MKV files, individual AVI files, 1920×1080 single frame side by side AVI and 1920×1080 single frame over under AVI. Support is also included for both blu ray resolutions, HD1080 & HD720 (ie Panasonic Disc). You can also specify a bitrate depending on your requirements. Audio is encoded as PCM for individual MKV and individual AVI output so very little CPU overhead is required on the PC and MP3 for side by side and over under AVI for use on TV’s etc. Conversion time is around 7x the video length and temp space requirement is around 750meg per minute of video ie. 90 minute movie = 630 minute conversion time (10.5 hours) and 70 GB of free space needed. Also for some of the features of the program you may also need to have the free tool AviSynth installed on your computer.
