Pantarheon 3D AviSynth Toolbox For Working with Stereo 3D Videos

July 23rd, 2010 · No Comments · Other S3D Tech

Lately there were a lot of questions for AviSynth scripts to do some of the things already possible with the use of already available scripts (one needs time to write and test AviSynth scripts), and there is no need to write scripts to do something if it has already been done and available as a convenient plugin. So here comes the Pantarheon 3D AviSynth Toolbox written by Adam Stanislav is a free set of scripted functions for AviSynth that can greatly help anyone working with different kinds of stereoscopic 3D videos. You need to be a bit familiar with the free tool AviSynth in order to be able to use this toolbox as it is being installed in the form of a plugin, so you basically just need to know the names of the functions and what parameters they accept in order to be able to use them from your own AVS scripts.

The Toolbox contains a number of basic functions which allow you to multiplex the left and right views found in two separate videos into one video, using several of the common methods currently in use. There are also four basic types of anaglyphs supported, made possible by the MergeRGB function built into AviSynth and these are: black and white anaglyph, red/cyan, green/magenta and yellow/blue. The Pantarheon 3D AviSynth Toolbox not only lets you combine two videos into one 3D video, it also makes it possible for you yo extract the left or the right view from anything created with the Basic Functions into a 2D video. The Toolbox also contains various functions to convert among the various types of 3D formats. One interesting thing about the Pantarheon 3D AviSynth Toolbox is that it even has support for output according to the stereo 3D specifications defined in the HDMI v.1.4a format.
