Finally a New 3D Vision Driver CD v1.23 (GPU and 3D Vision 197.13)

March 17th, 2010 · 7 Comments · GeForce 3D Vision

After keeping silent for quite some time Nvidia has just released an updated full 3D Vision CD version 1.23 that includes updated GPU and 3D Vision drivers to the latest version 197.13. As expected this new 3D Vision update includes a lot of new profiles for games that came out recently or are due to be released soon such as: Assassins Creed II, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, BioShock 2, Just Cause 2, Mass Effect 2, Metro 2033: The Last Refuge, Ruse and others, including some fixed profiles for already available games that help in getting rid of some issues. The new full driver CD contains the needed drivers for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7 and supports all the currently available 120Hz LCD monitors. The only thing that is not listed as supported is the Asus G51J 3D laptop that still requires a separate driver which is a bit old version already as it is 1.17.

The driver won’t install for my 9800GT Win7 32 bit but
    v1.19 works fine.

The driver installed fine for my 8800 gts under Window 7, but I had to go to Device Manager, and use the “Update driver” option for my 3dvision device from there in order for the emitter to be recognized…
Lost 30mn and many reboots to figure that one out…

    Good luck to all

Remember to always unplug the emitter before starting the installation – then connect when the program tells u to.
    Always work for me.

I’m having some trouble with just cause 2. First of all it is not recognized (in game popup tells me the game is not rated). Second, it runs like really bad om my GTX295 in stereo. Tried turning off AA and anistrofic filtering but no good. Resolution is 1920×1080.

So it seems to put a really big load on my gpu, while my processor is hanging on 38%.

Does anyone know where I might find the link to the executable in the registry for 3D vision, I think it only accepts the demo.

Are you sure this is a 3D-ready TV, as I’m not sure about that? If it is it should be using a DLP checkerboard pattern instead of a 100+ Hz frame sequential input for the 3D.
