This is a short stereoscopic 3D stopmotion commercial made by the Italian students that earlier this ear shared with us their Genesi Stereo 3D Short. “I Do 30” is an ecologic no-profit commercial for an organization that proposes to wash your clothes at 30 degrees instead of higher temperatures, in order to limit CO2 emissions. The 30 second stop-motion short movie was shot with 6 centimeters stereobase using a custom made half mirror rig based on two Eos 550D cameras. The video is in almost Full HD resolution as some of the pixels were probably sacrificed in the post-production parallax adjustment, the format is Over/Under and not the usual Side by Side, so be careful when opening it with the 3D Vision Video Player or the Stereoscopic Player. The video is also available on YouTube 3D. And do not forget to leave your comments about the video…

Genesi is a short Italian stereoscopic 3D video project produced by students during Visual Effects course at Cinema and Media Engineering (Polytechnic of Turin). It is a first attempt in the stereoscopic 3D world, so it is not perfect, but a good first attempt. The depth effect is a bit shallow at times, but you better watch it and judge it yourself and of course you are welcome to share your comments below. The video is also available on YouTube 3D, it is in Side by Side format with a resolution of 960×544, a good quality and with a fun plot to watch.
