Sprint’s Bubble Mania 3D Video Promoting the HTC EVO 3D Smartphone

September 2nd, 2011 · No Comments · 3D Movies & Videos

The mobile operator Sprint has made and published an interesting 3D video on YouTube to promote the HTC EVO 3D smartphone, a video that puts a fresh spin on the “flash mob” concept by using 10 bubble artists as they surprise an unsuspecting group of children and adults at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. A different interpretation of the flash mob – where people blend into the crowd and then burst into song or dance – these incognito park-goers, dressed all in black, create thousands of gigantic bubbles to the great amusement of passersby. The video showcases the potential of an HTC EVO 3D device and how easy is to use it to capture memorable moments from your life in stereoscopic 3D format, either on photo or video. The Bubble Mania 3D video ties in with a series of marketing videos titled “EVO 3D: Basics of 3D”, also available in YouTube, produced earlier this year by Sprint’s advertising agency, Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, but they are not in 3D format. The normal YouTube 3D version of the Bubble Mania promo video is embedded above, but there is also a 3D version optimized for watching on the HTC EVO 3D. You can also watch a plain 2D version of the video as well or take a look at the video that brings you behind the scenes video with 3D Bubble Mania by Sprint to see some interesting moments from the making of, including what 3D cameras were used and how to shoot the 3D version of the promo clip.
