Here is something interesting coming from the production company Poster that were kind enough to share some of their 3D work with us. Poster is a boutique studio founded one year ago in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They were hired from Santo, an Argentinian agency who also has a London office, to create 2 spots for Diesel Sneakers new campaign in 3D: “Diesel Sneakers. Not made for running (great for Kicking asses).” Below you can find download links for the 3D versions of these commercials, so you can download and watch them on your 3D PC and/or 3D HDTV. Both commercials are available in Side by Side format, with half horizontal resolution (squashed), so you will have to select 16:9 aspect ratio when opening them.
The first of those spots, the “Sneaker of the Future”, directed by Sebastian Caporelli, was entirely made in 3D with Softimage and the final composition was made with After Effects. So it is completely computer generated animation that does not include live footage, thus not requiring the use of stereoscopic 3D cameras for filming, unlike the other one.
The second one, “AssKicking Training Center”, directed by Sebastian Sanchez was shot in Stereo 3D. They used the Freestyle camera Rig from p+s technik and 2 Red One cameras from the rental house Camaras y Luces for the shooting of the video. And since this was their first official experience with this rig, it was a big challenge. So they looked for some external expertise in the Stereoscopy field and they’ve met with met Sebastian Tolosa, a great stereoscopy fan who worked with them as Stereographer. For the finishing touches the help of Wolf VFX post production house was used, for helping out with the 3D titles and the final conforming of the pieces.
