Let us try to make a useful list of EDID override INF drivers for different 3D HDTVs, so that owners of different 3D-capable display devices can experiment by making their display recognized by Windows and other software as a different product and thus behaving differently or getting some extra features available. No matter if you have a passive, active 3D or even autostereoscopic 3D solution please follow the simple guide below and share your EDID identifier data if it is not already available below. It is something that you can do in no time and with that you might be able to help many other users...

How to save your Monitor EDID:
- Get Monitor Asset Manager – http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/moninfo.shtm
- Install and Run the Monitor Asset Manager
- Click on the File menu and select "Create INF..."
- Name the file with your display model and upload it here.

In order to make your 3D display be recognized as another one you need to update your current display driver from the Device Manager with any one of the available here, have in mind that you may need to restart Windows in order for the changes to be active. Returning back to the normal display driver can happen if you uninstall the EDID INF driver that you've used to override the original HDTV driver.

I am using the above EDID that I recorded (with permission) from a store's Sony TV display model. This EDID is now flashed into a Gafen HDMI Detective Plus so I can now use my unsupported Sony PS3 3d Display with Nvidia 3dtv Play. Everything seems to be working well making this a complete dual purpose 3d LCD. I did want to post to confirm the use of this EDID for the PS3 Display as well as add another to the database. I just wonder if the screen size and other variations listed in the reports have any negative effects.

hello,

this is the orignal, unmodified EDID of my brandnew LG 47LM620S.
The TV is connected via a HDMI 1.3a Cable from my GTX570 Phantom.
How can I or should I modify it?

kind regards

Combination of Acer H5360BD and Pioneer VSX-821 5.1 receiver.

I use this for 3DTV Play games that won't otherwise run in 720p 60hz on my Benq W1070. The Sony-KDL55HX729-EDID above works as well, but it's not good for me running 5.1 audio through HDMI to a receiver. If you're in the same situation, W1070 with an HDMI receiver in the mix, give this a try. I can't guarantee it will work well with other receivers, but I think it should. I would recommend you configure audio in Windows to match what you know works with your actual receiver.
