Let us try to make a useful list of EDID override INF drivers for different 3D projectors, so that owners of different 3D-capable projector devices can experiment by making their display recognized by Windows and other software as a different product and thus behaving differently or getting some extra features available. No matter what 3D-capable solution you have, please follow the simple guide below and share your EDID identifier data if it is not already available below. It is something that you can do in no time and with that you might be able to help many other users...

How to save your Monitor EDID:
- Get Monitor Asset Manager – http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/moninfo.shtm
- Install and Run the Monitor Asset Manager
- Click on the File menu and select "Create INF..."
- Name the file with your display model and upload it here.

In order to make your 3D projector be recognized as another one you need to update your current projector driver from the Device Manager with any one of the available here, have in mind that you may need to restart Windows in order for the changes to be active. Returning back to the normal display driver can happen if you uninstall the EDID INF driver that you've used to override the original projector driver.

Connected directly using HDMI-HDMI cable to Nvidia GTX 570 graphics card. Projector works nicely with Nvidia 3D Vision & 3DTV Play.

DELL S300W 3D Projector

This projector works with 3D Vision but needs to appear as a different projector because it is not officially approved.
3D works only at 1280x720 120hz
Very bright and very short throw: I am happy happy with it.

Made my uncertified ViewSonic PJD6553w appear to be a certified PJD6531w to my Nvidia 3D graphics card.

Thanks, This is what I have been waiting for. The PJD6553w is suppose to be the successor to the PJD6531. About a month ago I bought the PJD6553w because of the 30bit color and other great specs.(Viewsonic also was giving away 2 pair of glasses when you bought the VP3D1 which I did) I also bought the PJD5523w a couple of weeks later because it has 120hz PC timing on every resolution and AMAZON had it on sale for $450 but I have not opened it yet. I am finally getting around to trying the EDID override and I really wanted this one rather than the ACER. Thanks for the upload.

Thanks. I had a unique opportunity. I had a PJD6531w doing great 3D for a year now and it crashed. I sent it in under warranty and ViewSonic fell so far behind on the repair that they offered me an 'exchange'. What arrived was the PJD6553w. I hooked it up, ran it at 120hz and as soon as I invoked my 3D card it dropped back to 60hz and gave me an error message that my projector was 'incompatible'. ViewSonic agreed to swap it back, but I really wanted to keep the better projector. A few searches later I discovered this blog and the Monitor Asset Program. When I ran it, lo and behold, I still had the complete profile of the PJD6531w on file right beside the new one. I was able to quickly change out only the EDID (exactly two values) and left everything else the same. It seemed the perfect solution. Kudos to the writer of the MAP program!
