I use remote control for switching on and off record. When putting together two video, difference usual 0-5 frames and I can easy shift them in
MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus or StereoMovie Maker.
Here one good point. I can do with both source what I want, not camera.

Is it a custom made remote or something officially available that you have modified for example?

You can buy remote here http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/643495-REG/Kodak_1402486_Pocket_Video_Remote_Control.html

and battery for remote http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/134899-REG/Kodak_1380518_CR2025_3v_Lithium_Battery.html

SteadePod http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/661260-REG/SteadePod_0SP0_001_Compact_SteadePod.html

Some details:
Extensions necessary for open cover of the battery completely.
Between camera and extension I put spring washer and washer.
Usual I use it without tripod. Hold both SteadePod and if necessary put hooks of steadepots on one shoe Lace.

Sorry my english, it is my second language.

Thanx for info.

So I suppose any device that as a wireless remote control can be used.

I tried with my two panasonic TZ1 camera (manual record/stop), and found that there is a problem when using 2 devices : the white balance and light adjstement are not sync'ed. And as the 2 camera have slightly different views, they make their WB and Light adjustment at different time, which give bad feelings when viewing.

So you must set the camera to manual mode (not supported with my TZ1 :( ) .

Cheers,

Olivier.

I don't think you can use any remote, tryed remote from canon sx1 1s and xasti 2000, it dasn't work.
Kodak playsport very easy to use, turn on camera, push remote, and it already record.
It have focus free, any space in focus, and quality video with 12 Mbps better than quality canon sx1 1s with 90 Mbps.
