Here is a blog post discussing all my trials and tribulations with creating my first Stereoscopic Nature video with the Sony HDR-TD10 with a Mac.

Tony, can you please post a link for the MTS converter software that allowed you to split the 3D MTS file from the camera in separate left and right streams?

Here are two nature videos using the TD10:

Here are the trials and tribulations using a PC:

Import the TD10 clips into Sony Vegas, edit in 3D, render as 108030p MP4, 1/2 frame sbs. Done.

Hey Bloody, I just got one of these too and will be fiddling by without going and spending a bunch of money on a program to edit, etc. have you seen where to just convert the native recording file to side/side? I have some questions in to cineform.

One thing I do like about editing a single interlaced image is that you might be able to do more like stabilize it further as a single image as side/side really can't do much??

EDIT - no free software that I can find yet, Movie Studio HD Platinum is the route I'm going for now. If I get really rolling, may get the Cineform/GoPro software, actually, probably since I just got 2 of those little things.

Thanks!
Dan

The side by side doesn't look right, to me it looks like 2D converted to Youtube 3D side by side, I have the same camera and need a MTS converter.
I may delete the firmware update and try the original CD software that came with the camera, it seem to me it was more split screen type of format.
