I finally decided to jump to 3D magic and buy a 720p 3D Vision Projector (Benq W700), a 88´´ Screen, Toslink cable to connect to my home cinema, 3D Vision Kit with 2 glasses, Creative Sigma USB Headphones, wireless keyboard and mouse, etc. I will have to get rid of my 2 Ati 5850 in Crossfire :( since I learned that 3D Vision optin is a more mature tech and that the 2nd card in Crossfire woul not be used anyway. So after much thinking and googling I decided to buy 2 GTX570 to run them in Sli mode to work with my pc (i5 750 @ 4Ghz, 4Gb 1600mhz ddr3, SSD , X-Fi Xtremegamer...), I am waiting for the cards to arrive.

Do you guys believe the 2 cards I ordered are a complete overkill for the 720p resolution? Bloody has made one post where he compares 2 gtx580 to a gtx590, but the benchmarks were made in 1080p and I cant seem to find any 3D Vision benchmarks at 720p anywhere...

Are you sure that this BenQ model is compatible with 3D Vision as I don't think it is on the officially supported list of projectors?

Having two powerful cards in SLI running at 720p might be a bit overkill, but if you did not want to play in stereoscopic 3D mode. After switching on the stereo 3D mode and using some very high AA, can compensate somewhat for the lower resolution, you will notice that the second GPU will not be sitting idle. Of course the load will probably not be as high as if you play in stereo 3D mode at 1080p, but still... Maybe I should do some benchmarks to publish on the blog.

thanks for the answer, bloody. :) I am very sure it is a 3d vision ready pj, if you go to benq site you will read it. Those benchs would be great for who wants 3d gaming with a projector. So, you believe that only 1 570 wouldnt reach the 60fps cap, at 720p with everything maxed out?

Yep, I saw the 3D Vision ready logo, interestingly enough Nvidia does not have it listed on their page as supported yet...
