anyone know anything about stereo mirror?.. other than the obviously lousy viewing angle?

Yes, these solutions are preferred by professionals working in stereo 3D, due to the full resolution and higher brightness with no flickering they get with a stereo mirror and two displays. However the side effect is that these solutions are usually quite expensive, so not a good choice for home users. But even planar has announced a 120Hz 3D-capable display compatible with 3D Vision not long ago... ;)

quite the contrary, this solution is very UNexpensive since a 23" mirror will cost you 30$ and maybe 50$ with a proper stand.

on top of this you get twice the resolution when working in 2D.

it is very easy to understand why nvidia removed the stereo mirror option from their drivers, when you compare this to the cost of their branded glasses.

A bit late maybe.

I use a similar but homebuilt display everyday.
