This is a conjecture from my own 'only 3 stereo display' experience, please opine one way or the other.

I have a alienware monitor and glasses, and only perceive the depth at 120hz. I have tried the 110 and 100 hz in an attempt to reduce the ghost, which it did, but it has virtually no depth to me.

I think this is an adaptation on my part to having one eye good for close and the other good for distance.

Eye domanance isnt new; you favor more information on which ever eye is clearer for the task, but other things are also at work.

Since my 'closer' eye is dominant dealing with monitors, the slower shutter rates give my visual system time to behave as it normally does, generally ignoring or deminishing considerably, my other eye.
I am not near / far blind, but they favor different distances.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

First time hearing of only being able to see depth at higher refresh rate, usually it is either seeing or not. Have you been to see a specialist to check your eyes, maybe it is something that can be fixed?

I want to use the lower frequecy to deminish the ghost, but I barely perceive the depth like i do at 120hz.

I got this 'fixed' now.

I had been needing glasses for a while, but as I have a drivers licence renewal this year it was time to get them.

After a few days of both eyes being correct and essentially the same, and now that I'm past the nausea of both eyes being used the same degree, my eye dominance has essentially gone.

I got an $8 frame and lenses from eyebuydirect.com that fit perfectly behind the nvidia glasses.
