Hi,

I tried using the AVIsynth script to convert the 2d movies to 3d movies. I tried seeing those movies on my 32 inch LCD with the red-cyan glasses (ie. Red and Blue glasses).

I was unable to get any 3d effect. What could be the reason? I was viewing the movie in a dark room.

1) The glasses used came free with a 3D movie DVD. The blue side of the glasses seems brighter than the Red side. Is this normal?
2) Is a 32" LCD ok for viewing? I sit about 4-5 feet from the LCD.
3) Can I increase the 3D depth in the AVIsynth script?

Thanks a ton for your help.

The autoconversion from 2D to 3D does not work that well with anaglyph, it is only simulating depth, no actually adding it to the converted video... it also depends on the content you are converting, the default settings of the script are optimized for use on a computer monitor. Check the comments in the script code and you will see how you can tweak it, so you can play with the settings, also try with different clips.

In this line of code you need to lower the value that is 100 by default:

Quote:
ResW = videoW + (videoW / 100)

I added layering to this script and ran it in media palyer classic and ffdshow (avisynth), 3d looks cool, though.
Resize it to lower resolution to run videos at normal speed. Also converts some 2d images to 3d. (Jpeg and bmp in media player classic)

ConvertToRGB()
video2d =last
videoW = width(video2d)
videoH = height(video2d)
ResW = videoW + 4(videoW / 100)
CropW = (ResW - videoW) / 2
f1 = video2d
f2 = deleteframe(video2d,0)
#Create L mask:
f1 = f1.Layer(mask(f1.invert), x= -2)
#Create R mask:
f2 = f2.Layer(mask(f2.invert), x= 2).deleteframe(0)
# Add the perspective effect to the second frame and crop it
f2 = PointResize(f2, ResW, videoH)
f2 = Crop(f2, CropW, 0, videoW, videoH)
rcanaglyph(f1,f2)
