All autoconversion solutions for making 2D to 3D video are a bit limited, in order to get better and more convincing result you may need to go to a manual conversion, but this is more time consuming and much harder to do... especially for videos and not for photos. So the top level of quality you will get from most solutions for autoconversion will pretty much match, and you better choose what works best for you and offers you the most convenient options.

First of all thank you for moving it to the right section (didn't see it there)...
I'm talking about video convertion and not photo... and I don't really have much time on my hands cause work/family etc...
That's why i'm looking for opinions on the auto convertion programs :P
Any opinion is welcome of course :)

How about Avisynth with colorcode scripts? Afaik Avisynth and VirtualDub together made a perfect couple for auto-conversion.

Most auto conversion software if not all don't really do a good job.

OK, so which of these is the best strictly in terms of 2D-3D conversion quality? If you can rank them, even better:

3D Combine Depth Gauge
3Dfier
3D Gugle (Auto 3D function)
Avisynth scripts
Axara
DVDFab
Movavi
PowerDVD 11
TotalMedia Theatre 5
TriDef 5

Others?

Thanks

Actually there isn't that much of a difference between all of them, they mostly use very similar algorithm for the conversion. There are some differences of course, so some of them work better on some types of video and others on other types. But in the end it is only simulation of depth and the resulting conversion does not feel as nice and convincing as video shot well in 3D.

I'm sure you're right, but pseudo-3D is the only option for me right now given the scarcity of native 3D material.
If you had to choose one converter, which would you choose and why?

Thanks!

Well, a 2D to 3D conversion that comes with a software Blu-ray 3D and 3D video player seems as the most reasonable choice, considering the fact that you get some useful extra features, unless of course you already have purchased one...
