 Post subject: anaglyph vs 3d tvs

I am new to 3d actually... i have tried anaglyph but not 3d tvs yet... is there a big difference in quality between the 2?

Yes, using a 3D HDTV with shutter or passive polarized glasses will produce more natural looking and comfortable stereoscopic 3D image... go to a retail store where they have 3D HDTVs and take a look at the demos they are showing on these TVs to get an idea on the difference.

thx for the reply. Are there side effects like for anaglyph 3d? (i.e. headache and blurred vision)

Bad 3D content can lead to these no matter what type of viewing method you are using...

But in general the color reproduction is much better, the depth effect is more convincing and you can go to higher separation without having trouble focusing or getting that much of ghosting... it is also more comfortable for longer use as compared to analgyph.
