I tested out my first side by side Mkv movie and the 3D works great. I wanted to use Srt subtitles and so added in using the ffdshow configuration. But the subtitles show up as split with right half of text showing on left and vice versa. So it is not readable. Any way to fix this?

The Side by Side 3D videos are still a single video file and ffdshow treats them as normal 2D content and positions the subtitles in the center as will probably all other solutions for 2D subtitles. You need to have two separate video streams and subtitles show in them and that can be probably done with left/right video files and a 2D subtitles solution to overlay the subtitles on both and/or a 3D solution that will replicate the subtitles two times over the left and right frame and that will also allow depth adjustment of the subtitles. Still using subtitles over a 3D video is a serious challenge not only for the consumer side, but for the professional too...

I found this guide on 3dtv.at:

http://3dtv.at/Knowhow/Subtitles_en.aspx

It worked on the nvidia's 3d vision player with Sharky's codecs. I now have subtitles showing up correctly in the center bottom of the screen in 3D!!!

I've tried everything but I ghot stuck at

Open your stereoscopic video file. The subtitle file should be located in the same folder and must have the same filename (apart from the file extension). After the video file has been loaded, click File->Video Properties->Filters. If all of the above steps were executed properly, the ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder should show up on the list. Select it and click Details.

That I do not see so I can not click on Details, please what am I doing wrong?
