BEST Codec for 3d MKV files?

Post subject:  BEST Codec for 3d MKV files?

at the moment am using Shark007's Windows 7 Codec with ArcSoft Player and nVidia Player but sometimes video goes out of sync.

what codecs r u guys using?

MKV is juts a file container, the video inside can be encoded with different video and audio codecs, although usually H.264 is being used. You can check the CPU load when decoding a video that gives you issues, if it is going at up to 100%, then the codec might not be performing that good and replacing it with another one might help. But the problem can also be in something else... what are your computer's specifications?

You are most likely using ffdshow for decoding the videos and the system specs are more than enough.

You can try to update only ffdshow to a newer version if available or experiment with another codec such as CoreAVC, test with the problematic videos to see if there is an improvement when updating/replacing the codecs...
