Both the Asus VG278H and XL2420T are already available on some markets and the prices of the older 3D models are also very attractive on some markets, but unfortunately not everywhere. Unfortunately I'm still not able to get a hold of a BenQ XL2420T monitor for testing, so I cannot say anything about its performance compared to the Asus.

But since you are not considering the monitor to be used in stereo 3D mode, but in 120Hz refresh rate then the BenQ with no 3D vision 2 glasses bundles might be a more suitable choice. Also you can check for good prices for the LG W2363D 3D monitor...

Tomb Raider

For the untrained eye - not sure what I'm looking at with this pictures. Are the supposed to be representative of good or bad?

Really anxious to try and get the XL2420TX if one is available in the US. Seems to have everything I'm looking for at the moment.

Quite impressive crosstalk/ lack of it, especially with tomb raider, looks like a monitor to keep an eye on. Let us know how you find using the monitor please.

Holy wow! That Tomb Raider frame looks insane! Is it really in 3D-mode?

No, but honestly, that boat sequence has killed every 3D-screen I have seen (or at least every image taken of the screens since I haven't seen many IRL) but here it looks perfect! The bright white honestly doesn't shine through, creating crosstalk. If this image represents the reality, I am insanaly impressed and will buy it without a doubt, something I have been thinking about for a while.

The ghosting test doesn't look as promising though? But perhaps ghosting is unavoidable on LCD-screens, I haven't seen many tests like that so I am not sure what is normal. I am happy as long as it doesn't give much crosstalk.

EDIT: Also a question, will it look as good with 3D Vision 1? I know the only news are supposed to be bigger lenses and better comfort but I am afraid that Nvidia secretly upgraded the shutters without telling us I want to keep my old glasses but I also want the best expreience possible, especially if I pay 330 euros for a new screen. So... same amount of crosstalk with the old glasses?

It is looking very good, have you tested for input lag as well?

3D Vision 1 glasses also support Lightboost and using them will have no difference in the level of crosstalk you get with this monitor as compared to 3D Vision 2 glasses.

I did it, I bought the screen! xD Hope I don't have to regret it.

But seriously, how do you tweak the color settings? I have been wrestling with the menus for 10 minutes now but no matter what I do, those areas are greyed out. I really, really need to be able to change the colors since it looks absolutely horrible on standard settings.

EDIT: The picture is the worst I have ever seen. My 130 euro Benq beats in every single regard.
You know the type of effects when you have a gradient and upload it Youtube? That is all over the screen. My wallpaper looks like gravel, honestly. I truly hope this can be calibrated away. And I am not even picky about picture quality, I can barely see the difference between an expensive IPS and a cheap TN. But this is bad, so bad. Maybe I can take some pictures and show you.
