Hello Guys......I am a newbie here so hoping u guys can help me. Heres the deal i recently bought Sony NX720, so now i want to connect the tv with the gpu. The thing is i cannot find a 1.4a mini-hdmi to hdmi cable, for this reason i bought an DVI to HDMI adapter and a HDMI Cable which supports 1.4a. I bought all these from Thailand and i am a tourist here so will not stay here for long. So if u guys knw what i need to make this work or if i am missing anything it would be great help. Thx

You should have not problems using DVI to HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable for the connection.

Then you would also need the Nvidia 3DTV Play software for playing games in stereo 3D mode, for movies you would be Ok with just a player that supports HDMI 1.4 output...

This Sony 3D HDTV is compatible with Nvidia's 3DTV Play software if you have an Nvidia-based GPU and it should also work with iZ3D and TriDef 3D if you own an ATI/AMD-based video card compatible with AMD HD3D technology. It should also work just fine with Xbox 360 games supporting stereoscopic 3D mode in Side by Side and Over/Under 3D output modes.

For PC gaming in stereo 3D mode however you will be limited to 720p 3D mode with 50/60Hz per eye, as the TV only supports 24Hz 3D mode in 10080p (intended for 3D movies) and such a low refresh rate isn't great for gaming. For the Xbox 360 this is not a problem as it will not even support full frame 720p 3D output... it uses half horizontal or vertical resolution output - it fits both the left and right eye frames in a single 1280x720 image (squashed).

Thanks you For your reply.
60hz on 720p means =30hz per eye or 60 hz per eye...?
i am already gaming on 60 hz on my pc (asus ms 228h led monitor). is 60 hz is bad on 3d gaming?

720p 50/60Hz 3D mode refers to having 50Hz or 60Hz per eye in 3D mode, or 100/120 total.

It will be with 60 fps, but in stereoscopic 3D mode.

Unfortunately when using a 3D HDTV with HDMI 1.4 interface you cannot use 120Hz refresh rate in non-stereo 3D mode like you can do on a 3D LCD monitor using Dual-Link DVI, this is a limitation of the HDMI 1.4 specs.
