Hey

I just bought a new Samsung TV UE40D8090 which plays 3D with its own 3D glasses perfectly.
Now I hooked it up to my notebook Acer 8940g (NVidia GTS 250M) over a 1,4b HDMI cable and tried to get 3D Vision to work on the TV. The laptops build-in screen doestn play any 3D cuz its only 60Hz.

I installed the new driver 270.61 (OS Win7 64bit pro). The light in the shutter transmitter is always green. Pushing the button doesnt do anything. In the settings there is no option for the 3D glasses.

I also did a fresh install of windows and installed the 270.61 driver right away. Same thing. Is this configuration (Laptop-TV) not supposed to work or what am I doing wrong?

You need to download and try with the 3DTV Play software it is intended for 3D HDTV support (for gaming in stereo 3D mode), there is 14-day trial version.

Also make sure you have the image shown only on the TV and not cloned on both the laptop and the TV.

Re: TVersity on a Samsung TV - now with the full feature set

Flashing/Hacking the TV seems a little rigorous for working around a TVersity issue.

My Samsung TV has no trouble pausing DLNA content from the "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service". The pause problem only exists when connecting to a TVersity server. (Transcoding and streaming)

So what does TVersity do different then Windows Media Player?
