I'm in the market for a 3dtv and live in Australia it seems every retailer is clearing all their 3d tv's out before the new models come out. I can pick a 58" samsung series 7 plasma up for about $1600 (aus) or a Panasonic TH-P58VT20A 58" Full HD Neo Plasma 3D TV for about $2500 (aus) which are really good prices. Is it worth waiting for the new lines to come out? I think the new samsung models come out this month some time. Are the new models any better or are have they just updated the software internet browsers/app store etc or are the screens and 3d capabilities improved. So in short buy now at a cheaper price or pay more for maybe a couple of new features? By the way i'll be connecting my pc to the tv so features like internet browser etc arnt such a huge factor.

The 2011 product lines are just a bit better with maybe a few more extra features, so if you find a good deal on a 2010 model, then you can go for it without worrying that you will be getting an inferior product... that is regarding the 3D functionality of course. Newer models are still relying on the HDMI 1.4(a) standard.
