Hello everyone, I have a problem I'm hoping someone can help me with.

After having used nvidia's stereoscopic 3d through Discover 3D anaglyph glasses for years, i decided to buy 3 AOC d2357ph passive 3D monitors for a surround setup after seeing the monitor reviewed on the blog. In order to get 2 of them (I have a GTX560TI card and can't use all 3 yet) working with nvidia stereoscopic 3d I'm using the ACER edid override file and everything works perfectly except for one issue.
If i use driver version 304.48 then in the stereoscopic 3D section under "Select when the display is in 3D mode" I have 3 options: "Only while 3D programs run", "Only while full-screen 3D programs run" and "Always". On all later versions however, up to the latest beta version, I no longer have the "Always" option in the drop-down menu.
Since I want to be able to multitask with the second monitor, I keep all my video games in either virtual full screen or in windowed mode and use the program "WindowedBorderlessGaming" to achieve virtual full screen. Some games however won't run in stereoscopic 3D while in windowed mode (or built in virtual full screen) unless I use the "Always" option, which i no longer have. As a result, games which worked perfectly in windowed mode 3D on 304.48 when I could select "Always", no longer do now that I no longer have that option.
And I can't downgrade back to 304.48 because each subsequent revision of the driver added windowed mode stereoscopic 3D support for a lot of other games that didn't work in 304.48.

Can anyone please tell me why I no longer have the "Always" option and what I can do to either get it back or make the games that worked before, work again?

It is possible that Nvidia has dropped support for this mode, the "Optimized for GeForce" program for supporting passive 3D displays is apparently not a priority for Nvidia as there still aren't many products supporting it and providing support for passive 3D can be different than active 3D. For example in Windows 8 all of these options for when to have the 3D mode available are now completely gone from the control panel...

Great, and those are online games that can't use use tridef due to anti hacking programs either. Thank you for the reply Bloody.
