Stereoscopic 3D HDR Photos Taken With a Single Canon EOS 7D

August 31st, 2011 · 3 Comments · 3D Movies & Videos

Thomas H. (thhedk) has shared in the forum a nice project of his own doing, a short slideshow type of video showing a bunch of 3D HDR photos taken with a single Canon EOS 7D digital camera (moving the camera horizontally about 10 centimeters as an offset between the left and right photos) and then stitching them together in Photoshop in Side by Side configuration. He has the 3D video available on YouTube in 3D format (also embedded above) or you can download it from the link below and burn it on a DVD/Blu-ray and play it. The video is in Side by Side half horizontal resolution (squashed), and you can also directly open the MTS video stream in a player such as the 3D Vision Video Player or the Stereoscopic Player. Only the timelapse sequence at the end of the video is not in stereo 3D format, because there is no easy way to do timelapse in 3D with a single digital camera. You are of course welcome to share your comments about the photos as usual.

    Thanks.
I am really working on making my HDR’s look more natural, than the typical exaggerated HDR effect. So I am glad you noticed :)
