Lenovo L2363dwA is a New 3D Vision Ready 3D LCD Monitor

December 24th, 2010 · 2 Comments · GeForce 3D Vision

Looking through Nvidia’s page with system requirements for 3D Vision I happened to notice that there is a new compatible 3D LCD monitor listed there, this time it is from Lenovo and their model L2363dwA. Unfortunately I could not find any bit of information regarding this new 3D Vision-ready monitor, but judging from the model name I can safely assume that it will be a 23.6″ model with Full HD resolution. We’ll probably have to wait a bit more before we get more official information about the product from Lenovo, so meanwhile I’m going to also point your attention to some other new 3D LCD monitors that are compatible…

Hannspree HS233 is another monitor that should soon be available on the market, but for which we don’t have a lot of information yet. At least I could find a photo of the monitor on which it looks quite a lot like the Acer’s 3D gaming monitor. There are two more 3D monitors in that list that are not getting a lot of attention and these are I-O Data 3D231XBR and NEC F23W2A which seem to be available only on the Japanese market so far and may not become available in the rest of the world. The last two models that are worth mentioning among the new additions a 3D Vision compatible monitors are BenQ XL2410T and Planar SA2311W, with both of them starting to appear on some markets. And mentioning Acer, we are expecting some new 3D models from them in early 2011 and maybe Asus can also finally release their 27-inch model that was expected to be available long time ago.

And last, but not least the first 3D LCD monitor that is compatible with AMD’s HD3D Technology, namely the Viewsonic V3D241wm-LED is still very hard to find, although I’ve noticed that it is listed in some European and Asian online stores. But I’m still unable to get my hands on this one to see how well it will compare to number of monitors already available for 3D Vision users, so the wait for that one continues. Meanwhile if somebody was able to get the Viewsonic V3D241wm-LED monitor, then feel free to share your experience with it…

Nvidia 3D vision is such a nice way of viewing 3D without actually buying an expensive 3D TV . Unfortunately I am still looking for a cheap monitor compatible with 3D Vision.
The idea is great to have 3D on computer but why these 3D monitors are 3 times more expensive since in reality they “just” have to cope with increased framerate.
I still hope I will find a cheap monitor soon.
I have the glaseess but I still search for monitor.

Anyhow nice site from our neighbours from south of Danube. Nice.

I would like to check if the L2363dwA meet the following requirements:

    1. 120 Hz
    2. Support Nvidia 3D vision graphic card
    3. Capable of start / wake up at 3D mode

The above are mandatory for our application. If the above monitor doesn”t meet those requirements, do you have another 3D monitor (23″ – 24″, 120Hz) that meet those requirements?
