Avatar Special Edition Back on the Big Screen in 3D on August 27th

August 16th, 2010 · 6 Comments · 3D Movies & Videos

Avatar is getting geared up for it’s return in the 3D cinema theaters at the end of this month with a new Special Edition featuring more than eight additional minutes of never before seen footage. So if you haven’t seen Avatar enough times already the additional footage will be definitely worth watching the movie at least one more time. And if you are wondering why we still haven’t seen any Blu-ray 3D announcement about the movie availability, this is the reason… why get into the still limited number of home 3D viewers when you can make much more doing rerun in 3D cinemas. So it seems that we are going to keep waiting for the Blu-ray 3D version of the movie for quite some more time anyway, I for sure do plan to go and watch the Special Edition of Avatar if I can, and what about you?

personally i thought the 3d movie theater avatar experience pretty much sucked. i liked the movie , however the extra money for the 3d effect was barely worth it. the 3d effect barely did anything. i have a feeling the 3d blu ray of avatar will look incredible. from what i have observed so far, 3d gaming on pc with nvidia 3d vision absolutely shits on movie theater 3d quality.

I have four 3d-BRrip in side by side format (coraline, monsters vs aliens, Ice Age 3 and cloudy with a chance of meatballs), ready to view with my lovely 3DVision kit, and as far as I can tell, the 3D effect in the BR are pretty much the same as the ones in theatre, no more, no less, so if you think that the 3D Avatar in theatre doesn’t worth the viewing, I’m certain that you’ll be disapointed by the BR edition.

But you are damn right to tell that the 3D gaming experience totally owns the movie one :D

Wow, rape is illegal, isn’t it? Even if it’s only people that go to movies?

Sorry, kicking 8 minutes in and calling it anything other than a money-grab is flat out lying.

I was going to buy the 3D blu-ray, but now I’m re-thinking that.

Why not buy? Hope the 8 min on bluray, too. So for you the bluray is more worth it. :) Will buy it!

I hate people they download rip’s and vount that and say: hey i’m so cool. Guy, you are a looser. Your don’t buy bluray version. So two of them is out on market and ready to buy. Buy it legal and the others too.
