New Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision Driver CD v1.34 Beta Now Available

August 12th, 2010 · 12 Comments · GeForce 3D Vision

This just came out right before the 2010 PGA Championship live streaming in 3D starts. The CD v1.34 contains the new GeForce GPU driver v259.32 beta and NVIDIA 3D Vision driver v259.32 beta. The update adds 3D Vision streaming support for Firefox 4 and Google Chrome web browsers as well as the 3D Vision profiles released in the 1.33 beta driver from few days ago. Lets hope that this driver also fixes the issues that some people had with Silverlight-based 3D Vision streaming when stopping the stream, as well as SLI configurations not being supported…

Download the GeForce 3D Vision Driver CD v1.34 Beta (32-bit/64-bit)…

does this mean that soon itll be possible to watch youtube 3d videos from within the youtube website rather than downloading or whatever?

Yes, pretty much the same way we are able to currently watch 3D streaming with Silverlight we should be soon able to enjoy YouTube 3D video directly from the browser.

downloaded and installed, and watched the Nascar demo through Google Chrome. Worked perfectly. Looks like this is the way it will go, and it’s the first time I have seen 3D that didn’t have to be full screen.

Can’t wait to test them this night at home, that’s great to see things change from “soon …” to “right now !” in the 3D world :D

Well, I’m not disapointed but not as happy as I could be. The nascar streaming demonstration was not good at all ! It works, ok, in full screen, in windowed mode, but the quality of the video makes it useless to watch (in my opinion), I’m pretty certain that people who have a 3D solution at home can manage higher bitrate and resolution in streaming.

In other hand, my precious StarCraft 2 is finally working, but not as good as I hoped, and I don’t see any ingame improvements for any game that I own, but that’s only a Beta, wait and see …

terrible terrible quality..I am highly disappointed. I have a 24 Mbps connection @ home. The stream starts in hi-quality but then buffers like hell, and then settles down at 600kbps quality which is terible to watch. I gave up after spending 5 minutes. Nasacar was disappointing too, and now this. I dont see any future in live streaming, may be viewing short 3d clips online….

This new beta was supposed to add Optoma HD67 3D support (as was the last driver update)…. guess what? No it doesn’t, yet again!
I am still having to use AcerH5360 drivers to get my Optoma HD67 to work. VERY ANNOYING INDEED !

Somehow I could not install the display driver for my Asus G51J laptop, although I was able to install the 3D USB controller driver. Display driver setup quits complaining that no driver found compatible with the current hardware. So I am left with the display driver v258.96 and the USB controller driver v259.32 .

burax , you need the Verde laptop drivers, not this one… this is only for desktop video cards.
