Shrek Forever After Stereoscopic 3D Full HD Teaser Video

May 10th, 2010 · 7 Comments · 3D Movies & Videos

Shrek Forever After in 3D is coming on May 21st, the final fourth chapter of the series and thanks to one of the readers of this blog (Matheus) we now have a true Stereoscopic 3D Full HD Teaser video to give us an idea on what to expect from the full movie. But besides the fourth movie of the series coming out in 3D, DreamWorks has more good news for us – they plan to re-release all of the previous three movies in 3D too later this year. There are two different versions of the teaser below that you can download, the content is the same, just the compression used is different. The first version is a bit smaller and with H.264/AVC compression and the second one is a bit bigger in terms of file size and uses DivX compression. If you have trouble playing the first version, then you can try downloading the second version…

And as we are talking about an animated movie that has been entirely computer generated you can expect to have a good true stereo 3D versions available of Shrek, Shrek 2 and Shrek the Third on Blu-ray 3D later this year. You can also see a complete list of upcoming 3D movies to hit the theaters this year in the Forum, with information if they are going to be 2D to 3D conversion or true stereo 3D…

This isn’t home-autoconverted, is it? If it’s the official one I’ll load :D

It is not a conversion, it is an official stereo 3d version…

What codec is it using for video? I can’t seem to play it, I never have had problems with mp4’s b4.

This’ll be awesome when I get it to work, it’s pretty short tho…

It is just a teaser, that is why it is shorter, not a full trailer.

The video is compressed with H.264/AVC, it is Level 5 (required for the resolution), so you might have trouble with some codecs that try to use acceleration. You can also try the second version, it is compressed with DivX.

Doesn’t work on the Samsung 3DTV, the inbuilt media player says resolution not supported (on both files), and the ps3 media player says the same thing :-(

    Ah well!
